Danielle Duval Recruits Jason Collett, Bahamas, Zeus for Debut LP

Danielle Duval is a fresh face on the Canadian music scene, but even if you haven't heard of the Montreal-based songstress, there's a good chance that you're familiar with some of her collaborators. After all, there's no shortage of Canuck talent on her debut album, Of the Valley, due out September 13.

The disc was produced by Zeus members Carlin Nicholson and Mike O'Brien. Other contributors to the disc's 12 tracks include Jason Collett (who sings a duet with Duval), Bahamas and Golden Dogs.

According to a press release, "The album moves from harmony-driven pop to explosive girl rock that took the world by storm in the '70s and '80s." It was inspired in part by "an epic road trip through the Mojave Desert, and a brief sojourn in Joshua Tree, California."

Sample her brittle pop rock sound by downloading the single "Ambulance" for free right here or stream more free music over at her website.

After the album drops, Duval will hit the road with Royal Wood for a cross-Canada tour. See the 12-date schedule below.
