Published Jun 18, 2012Last year, former Attack in Black member Daniel Romano released his country-dusted, Exclaim!-approved Sleep Beneath the Willow LP through the You've Changed imprint, but going forward, the musician will also be part of the burgeoning Normaltown Records roster.
A press release announced Romano has inked up with the new label, a subsidiary of alt-country-geared imprint New West Records, for his next record. Other acts signed to the label, which is based in Athens, GA and is geared towards developing emerging artists, include Kalen Nash, White Violet, Lilly Hiatt and Ronnie Fauss.
"Normaltown allows us to develop and grow young talent without immediate expectations or pressures typical of getting signed," co-founder George Fontaine Jr. said in a statement of the company's MO. "We are excited to give emerging artists an opportunity to focus on their music while we provide label support."
The specifics of Romano's upcoming full-length have yet to be revealed, but it is expected to drop sometime this fall.
