Super-producer and Canadian hero Daniel Lanois showed significant recovery from his near-death motorcycle crash when he debuted his new band, Black Dub, earlier this year. The group feature Lanois on guitar, rounded out by vocalist Trixie Whitely, drummer Brian Blade and bassist Daryl Johnson. They released their self-titled debut in November and will now bring the project on the road for a West Coast tour.

The run of shows follows some more eastern dates in November. Kicking off in Los Angeles on January 28, the group will travel up the West Coast, eventually making their Canadian debut at Vancouver's Venue on February 2.

To get a feel for the Black Dub live show, SoundSpike has posted some high-quality live footage of the band shot by Lanois documentarian Adam Vollick. Check out the video here.
