The Dandy Warhols Unveil The Capitol Years Best-Of

BY Alex HudsonPublished May 27, 2010

The Dandy Warhols spent over a decade signed to Capital Records, during which time the band famously warred with the label: Capitol rejected two of the Warhols' albums, one of which was remixed against the band's wishes and turned into the 2003 album Welcome to the Monkeyhouse. Now, the best songs from these tumultuous years will be compiled on the new album The Capitol Years 1995-2007, due out internationally on June 21 and in North America on August 24.

The 15 tracks on the disc are drawn mostly from the band's four Capitol full-lengths, although two of the tracks from Welcome to the Monkeyhouse use the group's original mixes. The songs appear in chronological order, ending with the bonus track "This Is the Tide." Check out the full tracklist below and the album cover above.

The Dandy Warhols currently have a brief European tour planned for this summer. They promise that more dates will be added, both in Europe and in North America, in support of the release.
