Published Mar 18, 2011Since the release of his 2009 sophomore album Nice, Nice, Very Nice, Vancouver-based songwriter Dan Mangan has been riding a wave of high-profile awards and big record deals. Now, the husky-voiced folk singer is heading back out on the road as he begins work on LP No. 3.
Next month, Mangan will go to the East Coast for a handful of dates in Atlantic Canada. He will then make his way to Quebec for seven more shows. In total, he will be playing 11 Canadian dates in late April and early May.
Once the Canuck outing is done, Mangan will fly over the Atlantic for a lengthy European tour. This will wrap up with a number of UK shows and an appearance at Glastonbury Festival.
Before he hits the road, Mangan will get to work on his latest album. According to a press release, "Dan is currently in the studio recording the follow up to Nice, Nice, Very Nice at Vancouver's the Hive with producer Colin Stewart (Black Mountain, Destroyer, Ladyhawk)."
