Published Jul 16, 2012If you've got a hankering for Canadian music with a folksy bent, then this tour announcement is for you. This fall, Vancouver troubadour Dan Mangan will be joining up with Toronto-based trio the Rural Alberta Advantage for a joint tour.
The trip will stretch from late October through the beginning of November, in which time the two acts will play 12 shows together. All but two of these are in Canada, with gigs stretching as far east as Ontario and as far west as Vancouver.
Before the joint tour begins, Mangan has a number of festival dates and shows, including a few right here in Canada. See his full schedule below, and check out the Rural Alberta Advantage's summer festival gigs right here.
In related news, the Rural Alberta Advantage will be appearing in seven episodes of the upcoming season of The L.A. Complex, a TV show about Canadians trying to make it in Los Angeles.
A press release explains, "Providing the soundtrack behind the scenes much like an on-set band of troubadours for the show, the band appears in seven episodes this season with full-band and acoustic versions of their songs featured along with a specially-recorded cover song to be used during a pivotal scene this season."
