Dan Mangan + Blacksmith Playing Free In-Store at Vancouver's Red Cat Records

Dan Mangan and his band Blacksmith are capable of selling out large theatres, but Vancouverites will have a chance to see them in much more intimate surroundings thanks to a free in-store performance at the city's Red Cat Records.

This gig will take place on December 13, exactly one month before the album Club Meds comes out on January 13 via Arts & Crafts. Excitingly, fans who pre-order the album from Red Cat will get a code for an advance stream, and they'll get the physical version once it comes out next month.

A Facebook announcement calls this a "stripped down/acoustic" set, so we're assuming that it will sound significantly starker than the preview tracks "Vessel," "Mouthpiece" and "Kitsch." Hear those songs below.

Space at the in-store performance will be limited. The line will start at 5:30 p.m. and the show will begin at 6.

Meanwhile, Red Cat apparently still has some tickets left for Mangan and Blacksmith's back-to-back shows at the Vogue Theatre in March. See the band's tour schedule here.
