Back in February, Dan Mangan + Blacksmith shared a bill at Toronto's Massey Hall with Hayden. We saw Hayden's "Live at Massey Hall" performance video today as part of his tour announcement, and Mangan's concert video from the same night has also emerged.
Following a short introductory interview, Mangan and his band Blacksmith take the stage for a half-hour set that includes horn and keyboard backing. Much of the performance highlights the dark, atmospheric material from this year's Club Meds; additionally, they give Nice, Nice, Very Nice's "Sold" a haunting makeover, and add a noisy jam to Oh Fortune's "Rows of Houses."
