Dan Deacon Tapped to Score Francis Ford Coppola Film

Dan Deacon Tapped to Score Francis Ford Coppola Film
This year is most certainly going to be big for Dan Deacon. The Baltimore-based electronic sound sculptor recently told us about reinventing his live show and collaborations with So Percussion and the Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony, alongside rumblings of a possible EP series and maybe even some studio time for a new album. That's already a full plate, but Deacon has upped the ante by agreeing to score the next film from Godfather director Francis Ford Coppola.

According to a press release, Deacon will score Coppola's upcoming film Twixt Now and Sunrise. Little is known about the film's plot, but according to IMDB, the film stars Val Kilmer, Bruce Dern and Elle Fanning, and is currently in post/production.

The press release also suggests that Deacon's relationship with Coppola could expand into a future project, explaining that the two are "also collaborating on a larger level, details of which will be announced soon."
