Dan Deacon and Lightning Bolt Join Forces for North American Tour, Play Toronto and Montreal

Baltimore electronic composer/party-starter Dan Deacon has been relatively quiet since 2009's triumphant Bromst, but that's because he's been busy with two new albums and an EP. While no release has been set for any of those records, he does have an exciting announcement: he's teaming up with the equally neon-clad drum and bass duo Lightning Bolt for a North American tour.

The seven-date trek, which is taking place in October, includes stops throughout the eastern United States, as well as Canadian shows in Toronto on October 12 and Montreal on October 13. Separately, these acts can induce insane dance parties from their over-crowded audiences, so together we can only imagine the pure chaos that will occur at these shows. Deacon will also be bringing his backing band for added cacophony.

According to Lightning Bolt's fan-run message board, all of the duo's full-lengths will be repressed on vinyl before the end of the year while their 1996 split with Forcefield will be available again early next year.

Tour dates:

10/7 Lexington, KY - Busters

10/10 Chicago, IL - TBA

10/11 Toledo, OH - Mickey Finn's

10/12 Toronto, ON - Great Hall

10/13 Montreal, QC - Cabaret Mile End

10/14 Albany, NY - Northern Lights

10/15 Brooklyn, NY - Ridgewood Music Hall
