Dan Deacon Hospitalized Due to Back Problems, Cancels U.S. Tour Dates
Dan Deacon spends most of his days hunched over a table piled high with effects pedals and assorted electronics. Considering his knob-twiddling/button-pushing ways, it's not entirely surprising that the Baltimore artist has been hospitalized with back problems, resulting in him cancelling the remainder of his U.S. tour.

Pitchfork reports that Deacon is suffering from sciatica, a painful condition caused by the compression and/or irritation of the nerve roots in the lower back. Apparently, these kinds of cases usually fix themselves with some rest and no surgery is needed. Deacon is hoping to make up the cancelled dates in January.
