Damon Albarn Taps Brian Eno and Bats for Lashes for 'Everyday Robots'
Blur and Gorillaz mastermind Damon Albarn has unveiled plans to release a new album called Everyday Robots. Though it's technically an Albarn solo effort, the artist has revealed that he wasn't working alone.

In a new interview with Rolling Stone, Albarn unveiled that he had some help from Brian Eno and Bat for Lashes' Natasha Khan.

"Natasha Khan of Bat for Lashes sings a ghostly echo of my voice on the song 'Selfish Giant,'" Albarn said. "And Brian Eno sings a verse on the last song. He's a neighbour: I used to go to a health club that he goes to as well, but he always did much more interesting things than I did."

Albarn also mentioned that XL Recordings head Richard Russell added a lot to the recordings.

"It's got my name on it and I wrote the songs, but Richard Russell was a fantastic editor and did a lot of the atmospheric stuff, so in a sense it's not entirely my record. It is my narrative, and my voice and my songs."

Everyday Robots will be available on April 28 via Parlophone. A video for the album's title track is available below.
