Damon Albarn, Flea, Franz Ferdinand's Alex Kapranos and Yeah Yeah Yeahs' Nick Zinner have joined forces to deliver a new song under the name Fresh Touch for a charity singles series called Vinyl for Syria.

As Consequence of Sound/The Line of Best Fit point out, the group's "Latest Style" single arrives as a limited-edition 7-inch on July 13 at the UK edition of the Independent Label Market, which will be held at London's Old Spitalfields Market.

Other artists attached to the 10-single series include Beth Orton, Charlatans singer Tim Burgess, Django Django, Planningtorock, Editors, Charli XCX and more. Labels involved in the project include Heavenly, Moshi Moshi, Fire and Double Denim, among others.

Each single will be pressed in a run of 50 hand-numbered 7-inches. Aside from being sold at the annual market event, a bundle of all 10 singles will be sold via eBay. Proceeds will go to Oxfam's Syria Crisis Appeal, which helps provides food, water and shelter to those affected by the conflict in Syria.

Prior to Fresh Touch, Albarn and Flea had collaborated with Afrobeat drumming legend Tony Allen as Rocket Juice and the Moon.

Toronto recently held its Independent Label Market as part of NXNE in June. You can watch an Exclaim! TV-made video of the event down below.
