Though it isn't without its detractors, La La Land remains one of 2016's most beloved films. Hoping to strike gold once more, the film's director Damien Chazelle is reteaming with star Ryan Gosling for another feature.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the two will join forces for First Man, a biopic about legendary astronaut Neil Armstrong. Gosling had been interested in the project since 2015, and has finally closed the deal.
The film is an adaptation of James Hansen's book First Man: A Life of Neil A. Armstrong. The film version was adapted by Spotlight co-writer Josh Singer.
First Man will shoot in 2017.
