In light of Thee Oh Sees' current, though temporary, hiatus, John Dwyer is putting his focus on his new synth-driven Damaged Bug solo project. Ahead of the late-February release of his debut LP, Hubba Bubba, Dwyer's let loose the record's buzzy space jam, "Photograph."
Staying to true to a previously issued press release's claim that Dwyer's immersed himself in "synthesizers, drum machines, and assorted hand-made electronics," the cut quickly synchs itself into a krautrock groove spiked with spiralling Moog-style sounds. Further roboticizing the track are the vocoder-employing vocal melodies, sung as if Dwyer was the most tuneful Autobot of the bunch.
