This year, the '80s DC hardcore scene will be toasted in a full-length documentary called Salad Days: The DC Punk Revolution, a nod to a tune by local legends Minor Threat. Last week, another of the era's greatest exports, Dag Nasty, played a reunion set at the city's Black Cat venue to celebrate the upcoming flick, and in case you missed out, footage of the performance has now surfaced.
The gig brought back the original lineup of the band back together, including vocalist Shawn Brown (Swiz, Sweetbelly Freakdown), and they dished out classic cuts like "One to Two," "Under Your Influence" and other tunes off retrospective release Dag With Shawn, which of course also appeared in altered form on the band's Dave Smalley-sung Can I Say LP.
You can check the vets crank it out onstage down below.
New York-based videographer/writer (((unartig))) also captured reunion sets from Scream, Black Market Baby and more, and you can check out the rest of the performances here on Vimeo.
