Daft Punk's Tron: Legacy Soundtrack Finally Gets Official Release Date

Daft Punk's Tron: Legacy Soundtrack Finally Gets Official Release Date
Get ready to break out your neon body suits and black lights, everybody: Daft Punk are finally set to drop the Tron: Legacy soundtrack. According to the film soundtrack's website, the French house duo's score for the Disney reboot is slated for November 22.

The site includes pre-orders for both digital and physical versions of the soundtrack, which features the cover above. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be a vinyl pressing, with only digital, CD and deluxe CD versions being listed.

With the deluxe CD you get the album and a high-quality download, along with a bonus download of a new track that's not on the CD. That deluxe package also comes with an exclusive poster. If you can't wait until November to peep that particular poster, there is currently a counter rolling down the minutes before they upload the image online, which is, well, sort of weird.

According to a press release, Daft Punk recorded the soundtrack with "a symphony of one hundred world class musicians in London." Judging by the deep bass drops and wind-swept strings currently looping on the site, this is shaping up to be a truly intense score.

Check out a trailer for Tron: Legacy, featuring snippets - and we mean real snippets - of the score, below.

Tron: Legacy is due out in theatres on December 17.
