Daft Punk Sign with Columbia Records, Might Drop New Album This Spring
We've been hearing rumblings that legendary French electro duo Daft Punk were hard at work on a new album for some time now, with the most recent rumours suggesting that they'd teamed up with disco pioneer Giorgio Moroder for the latest collection. Now, the rumour mill is working overtime with the news that the group may have signed a new record deal.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the masked musicians have left their longtime home at EMI and inked a deal with Columbia Records. Speaking with the Reporter, an unnamed source claimed "It's a done deal."

While little is known about Daft Punk's fourth album, rumour has it that the band will drop it within months. That news is echoed by French paper Le Parisien, who suggested that it would be out this spring.

Other rumoured guests on the new album include Paul Williams, Nathan East and Chilly Gonzales, among others.

Daft Punk released Human After All in 2005.
