Current Swell

'When to Talk and When to Listen Acoustic Versions' (EP stream)

BY Sarah MurphyPublished Mar 29, 2018

Current Swell released their latest album When to Talk and When to Listen last year, and now the Vancouver band have followed it up with a new EP featuring acoustic reworks of some of those tracks.

The new EP, appropriately dubbed When to Talk and When to Listen Acoustic Versions, was recorded with producer Colin Stewart. It features new renditions of "Use Me Like You Do," "Marsha," "When to Talk and When to Listen," "It Ain't Right" and "You Got It Easy."

"We decided to make these recordings because we just wanted to be back in the studio again," the band tell Exclaim! "Our careers started with an acoustic guitar so it was refreshing to crowd around the mic and do chill vibe versions of a few songs off the album."

The EP is officially out March 30, but you can get an early listen to the whole thing in the player down below, where you'll also find Current Swell's upcoming U.S. tour dates.
