Curren$y and Freddie Gibbs to Team Up for 'Fetti' EP

BY Calum SlingerlandPublished Jan 4, 2017

Curren$y and Freddie Gibbs teamed up on the former's 2011 Covert Coup LP and a handful of times since. Now, the two are set to come together once again on a collaborative EP.

Taking to Instagram today (January 4), the New Orleans rapper revealed he had approached Gibbs about putting together a joint project titled Fetti, presumably taking its name from their 2015 contribution to the Grand Theft Auto V soundtrack.

Gibbs's response was a video of him hitting the slopes on some time off, showing he's as cold on skis as he is on the mic. "Homie hit the slopes and sent me this hahaha clearly its a green light haha," Curren$y wrote in a caption. "'fetti' the EP coming in 17. Spitta and Gibbs that pistol to ya ribs."

As far as individual efforts have gone as of late, Curren$y is coming off a year that saw him release one project for every month of 2016. Meanwhile, Gibbs has been getting back into action following his detainment in Europe, having recently teamed up with Harry Fraud and the Avalanches.

While we await further details on Fetti, check out Gibbs's moves on skis and revisit the two teaming up on the GTA V track below.
