Cult of Youth Take 'Love Will Prevail' on North American Tour, Play Vancouver

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Aug 2, 2012

Last month, Brooklyn-based folk punks Cult of Youth announced their third full-length LP Love Will Prevail will drop September 4 via Sacred Bones. Following the album's release, the band will make their way westward and back on a headlining tour.

A hometown gig/record release party will take place September 7 in Brooklyn, but the tour proper won't start until the middle of October. Along with playing a series of U.S. dates, Cult of Youth will head into Canada for a gig at Vancouver's Waldorf Hotel on October 25. It's the first BC show for the band since they played the same venue in 2011 supporting Euro hardcore kids Iceage.

As previously reported, Love Will Prevail was recorded in the back of leader Sean Ragon's Heaven Street record store in Brooklyn, and features contributions from Glenn Maryansky, Christiana Key and former Battletorn vocalist Beverly Hames.

On top of previously premiered tune "Man and Man's Ruin," Cult of Youth are now offering a stream of sea-faring album waltz "Garden of Delights." You can check it out at the bottom of the page.
