Crystal Castles Prep New Twelve-Inch Single for Record Store Day

BY Stephen CarlickPublished Mar 30, 2010

As we reported in December, Toronto's Crystal Castles are allegedly set to "change the rules of the pop game" with their 2010 follow-up to their successful 2008 self-titled debut. But if you can't wait until further details of that album drop, why not sate your appetite with Doe Deer, the band's forthcoming vinyl-only single?

On April 17 (aka Record Store Day), the duo will unleash the four-track twelve-inch in a run limited to just 500 copies. The record comes courtesy of Fiction/Lies record labels.

The three tracks besides "Doe Deer" are "2004 guitar versions" of songs "recorded a year before the band added electronics to their sound."

Given the price their vinyl singles have gone for on eBay, we suggest getting up pretty damn early for Record Store Day and snapping this one up post-haste.

The duo have a number of tour dates planned for April, which you can see below. Most of are in European cities, but there is one Canadian date in Toronto on April 3.
