Never ones to shy away from controversy (see here, here, here, here and here), Toronto, ON electro-agitators Crystal Castles have just cooked up another batch following a debacle at Britain's Latitude Festival, where singer Alice Glass reportedly punched a fan and spat at him after she accused him of grabbing her breast.
As NME reports, Crystal Castles were making the most of their appearance on the festival's main stage, with Glass mouthing the words "I love you" at the crowd and engaging closely with the crowd, diving in for repeated crowd-surfing sessions. After one particular session, however, Glass started furiously raining fists down on a fan who allegedly groped her.
"You touch my tits, I kick you in the fucking head," she screamed, spitting in their direction.
Clearly pissed off, Glass reportedly spent the majority of the remaining performance time unwilling to sing and eventually threw her microphone down against the drum riser and stormed offstage 20 minutes early. The band followed. Of course, booing ensued.
The band, who are known for their confrontational live shows, will hit both Toronto and Montreal on their upcoming HARD Tour with Rusko, Sinden and Destructo. If you're thinking of getting amorous while there, may we suggest wearing hockey equipment?
