Kid606’s Tigerbeat6 label is most often home to rabble-rousing noisemakers, but Atlanta’s Crunc Tesla (aka DJ Raedawn) defies the norm with his brand of energetic all-encompassing hip-hop. A former winner of DJ Q-Bert’s Skratch Master Award, Raedawn fuses his hometown’s signature style of hip-hop with booming traces of grime and Baltimore Club bass, as well as electronic experiments.
