Crook & Flail

"Queen of Midnight" (ft. Tunde Adebimpe) (lyrics by Alan Moore)

Game-changing comics scribe Alan Moore has been on a musical tear of late. Earlier this month, the V for Vendetta writer offered up some lyrics for a folky protest song called "The Decline of English Murder" and up next is another set of words for a short film he made with Mitch Jenkins called Jimmy's End.

The film comes out online November 25 through Lex, but you can catch a tune from the flick titled "Queen of Midnight" now. The lyrics to the torch tune were penned by Moore, but are brought to life by a soft and soulful performance from TV on the Radio's Tunde Adebimpe.

The delicate piano and muted guitar melody was whipped up by the duo Crooks & Flail (aka Fog's Andrew Broder and Anticon collective member Doseone), though in the film they're being billed as "Vince Shannon & The Black Notes."

You can check the track out down below, where you'll also find a trailer for Jimmy's End.
