Cover Versions, Remixes, Big Names Added To Merge Records' Anniversary Box Set
Since we last dropped word of Merge Records’ 20th anniversary bash, the label has leaked a pile of new details, and some exciting ones at that. To recap, the North Carolina indie powerhouse will be celebrating its 20th with SCORE!, a subscription-only box set that will feature 14 celeb-curated collections of solid-gold Merge classics and, as we now know, some extra goodies as well.

And just what are those extra goodies? Well, along with the comps, Merge will be including a whole disc of covers, with a pretty impressive cast of artists (which you can find below) reinterpreting a choice selection of Merge favourites. Also, there is a bonus remix disc that — you guessed it — finds an equally impressive cast redoing a chunk of Merge tracks.

Sounds pretty sweet, right? It even sounds sweeter backed by the fact that, if you order your subscription before November 8, Merge will cut you a deal and give you a bit of a discount. See? Sweet.
