Courtney Love Reminds Lana Del Rey That "Heart Shaped Box" Is About Her Vagina

Last week, pop singer Lana Del Rey strayed from her usual set list to deliver a reasonably awful cover of Nirvana's "Heart Shaped Box" in Sydney, Australia. The croaky, strings-assisted attempt got some hoots and hollers from the Aussie crowd, but it wasn't everybody's cup of tea. The late Kurt Cobain's former paramour Courtney Love has now weighed in with some personal insight. Specifically, she reminded Del Rey just whose heart-shaped box the grunge icon was singing about.

"You do know the song is about my vagina right? Throw down your umbilical noose so I can climb right back umm," Love tweeted last night (July 29), adding that she helped pen lyrics for the muff-metaphor-laden classic, a claim for which she's never been officially credited. "So umm next time you sing it, think about my vagina will you? lol xc"

Del Rey hasn't responded to the antagonistic tweets, which have since been deleted from Love's account.
