Courtney Love Gets Caught in Paris Uber Protests

Taxi drivers have been none too happy about the rise of Uber and other ridesharing services, and this has led to protests today (June 25) in Paris and other European nations. Courtney Love evidently got caught up in all this unpleasantness, as the Parisian car she was riding in was attacked by taxi drivers who had blocked the roads to the airport.

In a series of tweets and Instagram posts, Love wrote that her car had been ambushed and the driver was being held hostage. She posted a photo of what appeared to be an egg smeared on the window. Meanwhile, protesters were beatings cars with metal bats and throwing rocks, and Love apparently escaped on motorcycle, so it seems she's thankfully safe. She complained that the police were doing nothing.

Rather curiously, one of her tweets was directed at Kanye West, and she hinted that the rapper was hiding out at the airport. For his part, Kanye has remained silent, so we're not entirely sure if he was affected by the protests.

Read Love's messages below, and be thankful that these protesters didn't get a hold of deadmau5, who has been known to moonlight as an Uber driver.
