Couple Thrown Out of Machine Head Show for Having Sex in Front Row

Machine Head are winding down their current run of tour dates behind Catharsis this month, but their Wednesday stop (November 21) in San Diego was less "Machine" and more "Head" for a couple who were ejected for having sex in the front row while the band were onstage.

The news came through Machine Head themselves, who wrote on Twitter that the two got down to timeless Burn My Eyes slammer "Davidian." They wrote, "HOLY... FREAKIN... SH*T!!!?? When a guy and gal get ejected for having sex during "Davidian" (in the front row no less!?) you know it's gonna complete insanity! *no joke!*... WOW."

The band noted on Facebook that it was their first show in San Diego in 11 years, adding that they were "blown away" by the evening's inclusion of "Epic circle pits...boobies, sing-a-longs, crowd-surfing-mania."

"San Diego, after an 11 year break from each other, you are officially 'un-fired!'" the band wrote. "Hands down the best show we have EVER played in your amazing city, and one of the wildest and rowdiest of the entire tour! Thank you all so much for an UNFORGETTABLE night of raging!!"

Come the end of their current tour cycle, Machine Head will part ways with guitarist Phil Demmel and drummer Dave McClain, who had been with the group for 15 and 23 years, respectively.

Upon breaking that news in September, frontman Rob Flynn said that the members had "grown apart as people" and that he doesn't "know what the future holds" for the group.

Machine Head will play Anaheim's House of Blues tonight before wrapping the tour in Santa Cruz on November 24.
