Cornelius Announces Soundtrack Release for 'Ghost in the Shell: Arise'

Earlier this year, we reported that Japanese electronic guru Cornelius had been tapped to soundtrack the new anime series Ghost in the Shell: Arise. At the time, he gave us a track called "Ghost in the Shell: Arise" and salyu x salyu's "Border:1 Ending Theme," as well as some fancy Buddha Machines. However, the one thing we didn't get was info regarding the full soundtrack — something that's now thankfully changed.

Following the announcement that the second episode of Ghost in the Shell: Arise will arrive on November 30, Cornelius took to his website to reveal that the full soundtrack release is due out November 27 in Japan via Flying Dog/Victor Entertainment.

While the album art has yet to be revealed, Cornelius did confirm the release would contain 19 tracks, including the aforementioned songs and the yet-to-be-premiered "Do Not Have Me" by salyu × salyu and "I'm Outside the Battlefield," which again features some help courtesy of former Yura Yura Teikoku frontman Shintaro Sakamoto. Several more instrumental score pieces from the series will also be included.

At this point it's unclear if the soundtrack will see a North American release, but you can already pre-order it on Amazon.jp over here.
