Converge Announce 'Live at the BBC' Release

BY Josiah HughesPublished Dec 5, 2013

Long-running Massachusetts hardcore wrecking crew Converge have focused on non-album releases this year following 2012's fantastic All That We Love We Leave Behind. Now, they've announced yet another auxiliary release with a new live record.

Simply called Live at the BBC, the new release features recordings of the group playing, well, live at the BBC. The four-song 7-inch release includes "Dark Horse," "Axe to Fall," "Damages" and, most importantly, a rare electric version of "Hanging Moon," the song that was acoustic-only on the band's You Fail Me LP.

Live at the BBC was recorded in 2010 by Simon Askew at Studio MV4 at Maida Vaile Studios, which is the previous home to the John Peel Sessions.

While the EP doesn't have a release date just yet, it will arrive via frontman Jacob Bannon's own Deathwish Inc. imprint. And, yes, that's the cover art above.
