Converge

'Pound for Pound: The Wolverine Blues Sessions'

BY Gregory AdamsPublished May 24, 2013

This might be disillusioning for Converge fans that though their guest-loaded cover of Entombed's "Wolverine Blues" on last year's split with Napalm Death was an all-out bro-down around the mic, but the hardcore band have revealed multiple takes used to compile the song via Pound for Pound: The Wolverine Blues Sessions.

What we have here are full-length interpretations from an arsenal of screamers, which were later sliced and diced into the version that appeared on the split. This means you now have uninterrupted versions from Isis' Aaron Turner, Converge's Jacob Bannon and Nate Newton, Hope Conspiracy singer Kevin Baker, and a tag-team between At the Gates/Disfear howler Tomas Lindberg and Converge's Kurt Ballou to listen to.
