Converge

The Making of 'Jane Doe' (Berklee College of Music talk)

BY Josiah HughesPublished Jun 29, 2015

Beloved Massachusetts hardcore act Converge continue to impress with each new album, though many will argue that their crowning achievement is still 2001's Jane Doe. Guitarist and producer Kurt Ballou sat down with the Berklee College of Music to discuss its creation, and you can watch the full talk now.

The 80-minute talk took place in 2013, and saw Ballou sit down with Jane Doe engineer and producer Matthew Ellard alongside Susan Rogers to discuss the album's creation. As you can imagine, 80 minutes means there's plenty of time for Ballou to get seriously in-depth about the release.

Watch Kurt Ballou discuss Jane Doe below. And if that's not enough, you can also watch the band's recent appearance on Exclaim!'s Aggressive Tendencies here.
