Constantines Detail 'Shine a Light' Reissue

BY Alex HudsonPublished Apr 23, 2014

Sorely missed Canadian rock outfit Constantines recently promised that they would be reissuing their beloved 2003 album Shine a Light. Sure enough, they've now confirmed that it will be out in Canada on June 10 through You've Changed Records, with Sub Pop Records handling the international release.

This pressing preserves the original 12-song tracklist, while three extra cuts are included on a bonus 7-inch. These are the B-sides from the CD singles of "Nighttime" and "Young Lions," and it's the first time the tracks have been pressed on vinyl.

As you can see above, the cover art is slightly different from the original version. A press release explains, "We had the original artwork rephotographed and rebuilt after it had been sitting in dank storage and getting moved and banged around so it's kind of battered and gnarly and looks great. "

Initial orders will come on orange vinyl. See the tracklist below, and scroll past that to see the band's impending summer tour schedule; they've got a few reunion dates at Canadian festivals.
