Common's <i>Universal Mind Control</i> Set for December 9 Release

After a ton of speculation, a new name and numerous changes in the album’s release date, Common’s eighth album is shaping up to be a hip-hop Chinese Democracy. In keeping with the trend, the album, which is now known as Universal Mind Control, is definitely coming out before the year is over. (We think.)

According to a report from Billboard, the album is due to hit stores on December 9 and will include guest spots from Kanye West, Pharrell and Cee-Lo of Gnarls Barkley fame. Though Santogold was originally set to appear, she is no longer among the contributors.

According to multiple sources, Common is also at work on his next album, titled The Believer, with Kanye West and No I.D. for a 2009 release. Sure…
