Following last year's Let Love, Common has readied a new nine-track effort set to arrive this week. The hip-hop vet will share A Beautiful Revolution Pt. 1 on Friday (October 30) via Loma Vista.

A Beautiful Revolution Pt. 1 finds Common landing features from Roots leader Black Thought and Lenny Kravitz, backed by a band that includes his August Greene groupmates Robert Glasper and Karriem Riggins, bassist Burniss Travis, guitarist Isaiah Sharkey, and vocalist PJ.

Speaking of the album, Common said it is meant to "uplift, heal, and inspire listeners dealing with racial injustices as well as other social injustices.

"A Beautiful Revolution Pt. 1 is affirmation. It's recognition. It's elevation. It's music to go with a movement. Because the truth is, there is still so much work to do. Regardless of the outcome of the election, we need to make sure things do not return to the status quo. The intention of the music is to channel all of our pain and outrage into something productive, inspirational, and good. It's to help lead a movement into our next phase of the work to be done."

The Black Thought-assisted "Say Peace" arrives today, and you can hear it below, ahead of Common and his collaborators performing the track on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on November 4.

Earlier this year, Common appeared on a new album from Disclosure, and was recently linked to a stoner superhero comedy with Andy Samberg and Craig Robinson.
