Coldplay To Give Away New Live Album On North American Tour

BY Cam LindsayPublished May 1, 2009

As Coldplay gear up for yet another massive tour of North America, today the band left a message on their website promising a little something special to go with each of their gigs: a free live CD.

Titled LeftRightLeftRightLeft, the nine-track disc will be given out to every fan attending the band's North American tour (apart from festival shows), beginning with the May 15th show in West Palm Beach, FL. That same day, the band will make the recording free to download on their website for any fans unable to make it to any one of the 41 shows.

The gesture is a "recession-busting mark of gratitude to everyone who's supported them," reads the message. With the band adding: "Playing live is what we love. This album is a thank you to our fans - the people who give us a reason to do it and make it happen."

LeftRightLeftRightLeft was recorded over the past year in various cities around the world on the Viva La Vida tour.

LeftRightLeftRightLeft tracklisting:

1. "Glass of Water"
2. "42"
3. "Clocks"
4." Strawberry Swing"
5. "The Hardest Part/Postcards From Far Away"
6. "Viva La Vida"
