Coldplay have just shared two brand new songs from their upcoming record. "Daddy" and "Champion of the World" will appear on the fast-approaching Everyday Life.

"Daddy" arrives today alongside a set of dreamy new visuals directed by Åsa Lucander and puppetry courtesy of Brunskill & Grimes.

"Champion of the World" comes without an official video but instead with a heartwarming tribute to the late Scott Hutchinson of Frightened Rabbit, who passed away in spring last year after a long battle with mental health issues.

"Scott had a song called 'Los Angeles Be Kind,' which I love," said Coldplay frontman Chris Martin in a statement. "When I first heard it, I thought it was going to go one way; but it went another. Anyway 'Champion of the World' is the song that came from following the other path, and that's why Scott is a co-writer on this song. Today is also his birthday. So happy birthday Scott and thank you for your beautiful music, wherever you are."

These two new tracks follow the release of "Arabesque" and "Orphans," which arrived last month along with the album's official announcement.

Watch the official video for "Daddy" and listen to "Champion of the World" below.

Everyday Life is due this Friday (November 22) via Parlophone/Atlantic.
