Coldplay Nab Anton Corbijn to Direct Concert Webcast
The American Express Unstaged series has already brought us streaming live concerts from Arcade Fire, John Legend & the Roots, Sugarland, Duran Duran and My Morning Jacket, each of whom teamed up with a world-renowned director. Now, the series has announced its sixth instalment: a Coldplay concert directed by Anton Corbijn (Control, The American).

The event will be streamed through VEVO on Youtube on October 26 at 4 p.m. EST (1 p.m. PST). Taking place at Plaza de Toros de Las Ventas in Madrid, Spain, this gig will air one day after Coldplay release their latest album, Mylo Xyloto, on October 25.

In a press release, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin said, "Anton Corbijn has been a big hero to us for a long long time so we're thrilled to be beaming this concert out to the world through his cinematic lens. We can't wait to share this experience with him and with all of our fans watching American Express Unstaged around the world. It's going to be special."

On the night, the concert will be streaming at Coldplay's VEVO site. It will immediately rebroadcast for the rest of the night, and then made available on-demand for the next 48 hours. In the meantime, see a trailer below.
