Coldplay Announce Cinema Screenings for 'Live 2012'

Stadium-filling pop rock band Coldplay will release their concert film and live album Live 2012 on November 20 through Parlophone. If your home entertainment system isn't quite deluxe enough to deliver the full experience, however, then you may want to check out Live 2012 when it comes to cinemas for one day only on November 13.

The film will be shown in dozens of countries all around the world. In addition to a slew of screenings in the UK and the U.S., it will come to 10 cities across Canada. These cities are: Calgary, AB; Halifax, NS; Mississauga, ON; Moncton, NB; North York, ON; Ottawa, ON; St. John's, NL; Surrey, BC; Waterloo, ON; and Whitby, ON.

In related news, Coldplay will release an interactive eBook on November 19. Entitled Mylo Xyloto Live, it includes interviews with both the band and crew members, behind-the-scenes footage and photos, hand-written lyrics, singer Chris Martin's studio journal, and a Coldplay discography. A press release describes the eBook as "an in-depth audio-visual companion piece to the Live 2012 film." It will be available through iTunes.
