Artists and music fans everywhere were devastated by the news of Adam Yauch's passing on Friday (May 4). On the same night, Coldplay paid tribute to MCA and the Beastie Boys with a cover of the hip-hop group's classic song "(You Gotta) Fight For Your Right (to Party)" during their Los Angeles show.
The piano-driven version courtesy of Chris Martin and the gang slows down the party anthem into a very Coldplay-esque ballad, though Martin's shout out to Yauch and closing lines of "We're sending all our love to the Beastie Boys" make it a rather touching tribute.
