The makers of the upcoming film The Hunger Games: Catching Fire have gotten a very high-profile soundtrack contributor in Coldplay, who penned a new song for the movie. A lyric video for that track has now hit the web.
"Atlas" is a dramatic piano ballad that finds Coldplay doing a very good job of sounding like Coldplay as they move from low-key verses to expansive, heart-lifting choruses, and conclude with a sweeping crescendo. The lyric video shows line drawings of what look like ancient depictions of gods, plus cosmic swirls of stars. The single is available to purchase on iTunes.
