If you lived through the dark, tasteless days of early 2000s rap metal, you know that hard rock and hip-hop can be a powerful, dangerous concoction. Strangely, however, Wilkes-Barre, PA's Cold World have stumbled upon a winning combination with their blend of rap and hardcore.

The cult-classic band have finally announced a proper follow-up to their 2008 LP Dedicated to Babies Who Came Feet First. The new album is called How the Gods Chill, sharing its title with their 2011 Sean Price collaboration of the same name.

How the Gods Chill was recorded by Will Yip (Blacklisted, Title Fight) and Arthur Rizk (War Hungry, Power Trip), and features guest spots from Blacklisted frontman George Hirsch as well as Kool G. Rap, Meyhem Lauren and Max B.

A press release promises that the 13-track album is an "amalgamation of Hip Hop character and Hardcore heart," saying that it pays homage to Biohazard, Only Living Witness and Life of Agony.
