Joshua Hyslop's debut album, Where the Mountain Meets the Valley, has been available digitally since May, but today (July 3) we finally get the physical release via Nettwerk Records. To celebrate the arrival of the CD on shelves, the British Columbia songwriter has unveiled a video for the album track "Cold Wind."
This tune is one of the three bonus tracks included on the CD that weren't on the digital version (the others are "What Have I Done?" featuring Salome Leclerc and an acoustic version of "Have You Heard?"). As for the video accompanying this low-key folk song, it's a black and white affair and fittingly restrained, as it shows Hyslop walking through a Pacific rainforest before settling down with his guitar at a rustic cabin. This footage is intercut with scenic shots from around the house, and the entire video was directed by Michael Rodriguez.
