The release date for Cold Specks' debut album I Predict a Graceful Expulsion is still a few months off, but the Etobicoke, ON "doom soul" singer born Al Spx has revealed yet another number from the platter, "Winter Solstice."
Some would call it poor planning to unveil the track on the first day of spring, but the tune's music betrays its chilly title via redemptive horn blasts and a propulsive percussive thud that would drag any self-respecting hibernators out of their holes. Add Spx's intensely emotional, smoky vocals, and you've got yourself a keeper. Check it out below.
