Code Orange

"Dreams in Inertia" (video)

The previews behind Code Orange's upcoming I Am King LP just keep getting creepier, with the group's new "Dreams in Inertia" seemingly portraying a battle of wills between a couple of death cults.

The track itself murkily pulls out the darkest of melodies in its front end, with gloomy, detuned guitar work settling just beneath morose moans. While we see the band delivering the tune throughout the video, we also get a glimpse of a guy's bathtub purification and a dour crew's march through a forest filled with nooses. Code Orange meet up with the other faction late in the video to offer a few sips of Kool-Aid, which may not be a gesture of good faith.

As previously reported, the band's I Am King comes out September 2 via Deathwish Inc. and will be supported with a North American tour this fall.
