Cock & Swan Hit Kickstarter to Fund Vinyl Release, Share EP Made of King Crimson Samples
Cock & Swan, also known as Johnny Goss and Ola Hungerford, have just recorded an EP called Moonchill. The EP is made of tracks that sample "Moon Child" by King Crimson, the classic prog-rock band who bore at least a small influence on the Seattle-based duo's hypnotic, analog dream-pop aesthetic. And the new release is (almost) free.

Cock & Swan digitally released Secret Angles, their third album and first for Hush Hush Records, on September 10. Around the same time, they launched a Kickstarter campaign to get the full-length pressed on vinyl. As a token of their gratitude to those who back the campaign, Cock & Swan created the Moonchill EP, free to all pledge levels. Supporters also receive Secret Angles remixes by Kid Smpl, Cex, IG88 and more.

The band have just premiered a stream of the entire EP, which you can check out below. As ever, the track features Hungerford's mesmerizing, hushed vocals set to the analog, saturated production of studio wizard Goss. Think Broadcast meets Zero 7.

They have also released a video, which shows a peak into the creative process for the EP. This can also be seen below.
