Published Sep 05, 2008Atlanta, GA all-girl punk deviants the Coathangers have had a slow ascent. Building from the buzz of their self-titled debut, released last year, the girls have released a slew of seven-inches, including one on Suicide Squeeze. Now, Pitchfork has confirmed that the ladies have made Suicide Squeeze their permanent home.
While little information is available about their next release for the label, a June post on the bands website suggests theyre well into the stages of a second LP:
The Coathangers have been hard at work writing brand spankin' new songs for their upcoming 12"! The new jams include "Cheap Cheap" (which takes the listener to the country side of the band), "Toomerhead", "143", "Killdozer", "Why Can't A Boy Love A Boy", and a remake of their hit "Nestle in my Boobies" entitled "Dancin' with my Cutie"! The band hopes to release the 12" by the end of the year, if not sooner...
