Baths

Will Wiesenfeld, a.k.a. Baths is continuing his two month-long tour of the continent, alongside his mates in Scottish hip-hop trio Young Fathers. While Edmonton and Calgary fans are winning the Baths lottery this week, Vancouver residents can anticipate a show there next week to round out the Canadian dates for this tour.

05/13 Edmonton, AB – The Starlite Room
05/14 Calgary, AB – Commonwealth Bar & Stage

Canadian Music Week

They say good things come in threes, and so it is with Canadian Music Week: a music (duh), film and comedy festival sprawling across downtown Toronto for the week of May 6 to 10. Performers include Neko Case, No Age, Mastodon, OFF!, DIANA, Television and more. If you can't find something you like at CMW, you just might not actually like music at all.

05/06-10 Toronto, ON – Various Venues

Loop

British psychedelic rockers Loop play the last Canadian date (and third last date overall) of their first appearance on North American soil in 24 years and possibly last, as founder Robert Hampson insists this reunion is not permanent.

05/14 Vancouver, BC – The Biltmore Cabaret

Milk Carton Kids

Following a 2013 nomination for best folk album for The Ash & Clay, the Milk Carton Kids hit the road this. The Canadian portion of the tour is sold out, including this week's Winnipeg and Calgary dates, but if their recently released DVD, The Milk Carton Kids Live from Lincoln Theatre, is anything to go by, those interested in seeing the duo should find a way in.

05/12 Winnipeg, MB – West End Cultural Centre
05/14 Calgary, AB – Festival Hall

Mogwai

Despite already releasing their eighth studio album in January, post-rockers Mogwai are about to drop a second 2014 release in June, with a new version of 1999's Come on Die Young, complete with rarities, including an unreleased album. Those anxious for even more of these Scots should catch the group's first Canadian appearances in nearly two years, closing out with a Vancouver date in a couple of weeks.

05/11 Montreal, QC – Metropolis
05/13 Toronto, ON – Danforth Music Hall

Owen Pallett

These Canadian dates are two of the the violinist's ten solo tour dates on this run and come just weeks before his upcoming album, In Conflict. Catch a preview in Montreal and Toronto this week.

05/09 Montreal, QC – La Sala Rossa
05/10 Toronto, ON – Danforth Music Hall
