Welcome to this week's Can't Miss Concerts. I'm Vish and every Thursday I'll be picking your best live concert options in the cities of Vancouver, Toronto and Montreal. There's a lot going on this weekend, but here are the shows I've found the most intriguing.

A fine night of music here, with local upstart Hannah Georgas joining two of Canada's most esteemed (and funny) songwriters, Danny Michel and Carolyn Mark.

Touring behind his latest release, The Grand, explosive house DJ Kaskade is sure to electrify the Commodore with hypnotic songs.

The inventive, jarring pop-infused post-rock of Montreal's Clues sure comes alive on-stage, a comfortable place for a band consisting of former members of Arcade Fire and the Unicorns.

Thursday May 28

The Pitter Patter Music Festival roams across Hamilton, Guelph, Brantford, Mississauga, Oshawa, Lindsay and Peterborough this weekend (May 28-31), but Toronto features the heaviest activity with over 150 bands playing various venues. Highlights include Pick a Piper, Black Hat Brigade, Parlovr, The Owle Bird, Nich Worby, HotKid, The Riderless and Slow Hand Motëm.

Future/past rockabilly star Slim Twig (Pictured) celebrates the release of Contempt! with a hometown show at the ghost-filled, Legendary Horseshoe Tavern.

Thursday May 28

Electronic arts extravaganza Mutek_10 sweeps through Montreal (May 27-31) with over 100 performers, panelists and workshop coordinators discussing and enjoying the music from multiple perspectives. Highlights include "Gas, Ricardo Villalobos, Carl Craig, Moderat and over 70 other Canadian and international acts."
